The Best Sort of Storm

Because there is supposed to be a massive geomagnetic storm hitting the earth's atmosphere today, here's a shot from a solar storm that I witnessed.

This shot of the northern lights was taken as our guide was trying to shuttle us back down to the bus at the end of our tour. Luckily, we dug in our heels and asked if we could stay for just a few more minutes, since those minutes featured the most impressive auroras I've ever seen. They were moving so quickly across the sky, with coronas wildly pulsating above our heads, that I soon gave up taking photos and simply stared at it in awe.
